Who thinks that QB Jay Cutler for the Chicago Bears Threw the game last sunday?

  • Miss Ann Thrope posted: 13 Jul at 6:59 am

I think so. He had a cold hand during the game, and he’s no rookie. I did expect another Brian Urlacher injury though.

  • LegFuJohnson posted: 14 Jul at 4:54 pm

Absolutely. Did you see the way he let Greg Jennings beat him for the final TD pass?

And it’s not just Cutler. How good were the Texans, and you know Schaub threw the game.

And David Garrard? He was never this bad. He threw the game.

    Seriously, get a clue.

I don’t think he threw the game. I just think his receivers didn’t know their routes. There was a good deal of confusion. It looked like a typical Week 1 game in the NFL. Don’t worry, they’ll work it out. Expect the Bears to be much better this week.

No, he is just that bad. The videotape does not lie (and this is coming off of that epic slide not making the playoffs in Denver). His last “real” games (regular season) have been horrific.

Being a Bears fan……….. I don’t think it was just Cutler. Although he didn’t help out matters w/ the interceptions. The defense is lacking along with the wide recievers. Now that Urlacher is out for the season, it’s just gonna get worse on defense. Culter will eventually find his game.. But the defense is what i’m worried about now. Urlacher’s shoes are just too big too fill.. and we also need someone to step up as a defensive captain.

  • James posted: 24 Jul at 1:36 am

Preseason games aren’t a good judge of how well a player will do. Especially since teams are using preseason games to see who makes it as a starter and to test out formations/plays.

The Packers have a great defense this season. That aside, Cutler threw 17 for 36, 277 yards, 1 TD, and 4 interceptions.

Cutler was clearly having trouble, but I wouldn’t pin all the blame on him. The Bears have a struggling O-line and don’t have many playmakers in the Wide Receiver position.

  • VGpugs posted: 25 Jul at 4:33 pm

he sucks, he wasn’t good with the broncos and he isn’t good with duh bears. Jay may be the better arm but Chicago got the short end of the deal, Kyle is a much better leader then Jay ever was or is.

I expected and can forgive interceptions, but the ones he threw were the dumbest kind! So frustrating… on the other hand there was a lot of nastiness in the receiver’s end. Sloppy and confusing game the whole way through.

  • Lancelot posted: 29 Jul at 8:09 pm

I’ve always questioned Cutler’s heart, his ability to lead a team, and his mental toughness. He’s probably overrated because of his big arm. That being said, I think his recievers share the blame of his bad performance last week. It gets even tougher for him this week against Pittsburgh.

  • Vanessa posted: 31 Jul at 3:03 am

Why would he throw the game, wouldn’t he wanna play awesome so he could rub it in the faces of everyone back in Denver?

  • brianhurley423 posted: 31 Jul at 5:31 pm

Cutler played bad, if anyone should be blamed for “throwing the game” it should be Patrick Mannelly, the long snapper. Although he is a great long snapper and has been with the Bears forever, he should have known that trying an aggressive play like 12 men on the field snap, shouldn’t be tried in opponents territory in the 4th quarter in a close game.

Him, Kevin Payne and Nathan Vasher, god he is baaad. Missed tackles and blown coverage is pretty much all he is good for.

No doubt Cutler played bad, but do remember who his offensive coordinator is, Ron Turner, brother of the great Norv Turner, so that is all you need to know about him. But as bad as the offensive was, it was only the first game. Matt Forte should get the ball more and we need to find better ways to use Greg Olsen. I think Cutler will adjust.

If there is anything that Bears fans need to be worried about, its the defensive secondary. Da Bears were 31st in pass d last year. And thanks to dropped passes by the Packers and Aaron Rodgers missing his receivers, that game coulda been a lot worse.

  • Stupid Flanders posted: 02 Aug at 7:44 pm

So you would think that all of his ‘temper tantrums’ toward the officials and teammates were just to throw everyone off?

I don’t buy it. 2 of the INT’s were his fault and the other 2 were the receivers not completing routes.

Plus, Cutler wasn’t the one who gave up the game winning TD and he didn’t make the stupid decision to try a fake punt at their own 30 WHEN THEY WERE AHEAD.

  • ryan posted: 03 Aug at 10:04 pm

Cutler blows. The only reason he put up big yardage numbers is because all he did was throw last year. He has really bad accuracy and is a horrible leader.

  • jonds posted: 06 Aug at 10:11 am

He probably made that call on the fake punt that cost them three points. No, I don’t think he threw the game.

  • Mark H posted: 09 Aug at 8:50 am

cutler is so overrated. he might have a good arm, so they say, but the way he carries himself is not solid. he’s kind of a dork actually.

there’s a reason denver was looking into cassel instead of cutler. i think time will show he is not as good as he was thought to be.

  • I bleed orange and blue posted: 10 Aug at 5:55 pm

he didn’t look good during preseason either
    first game he played bad
second game a bit better i would say average
third game he play bad except for one drive
i don’t know about the fourth

  • Daniel posted: 11 Aug at 10:51 am

Would you want to throw a game against a bunch of division rivals, tarnishing a season where you get paid millions of dollars?
